Resuseal WB Colour is a two-pack water-based epoxy resin flooring with very low VOC content. Providing attractive, hard-wearing and dust-free finishes, it has excellent adhesion to concrete, wood and other surfaces.
This industrial resin flooring can act as a curing membrane to increase hardness of concrete by allowing full hydration of cement.
Resuseal WB Colour can be applied to new concrete seven days after being poured. It is ideal for factory and food units, but also suitable for plaster, asphalt and wood with the correct preparation.
WB Colour is excellent as a coating for previously painted surfaces and also automotive workshops.
Recoating can take place after 12-24 hours. For light traffic 24-48 hours, full traffic 48-72 hours and a full chemical cure 7-10 days.
Theoretical coverage rate is 40m2 @ 100 microns wet thickness for 5kg.
Full product data sheets and safety data sheets are available on request.
Surfaces to be coated must be clean, sound, dry and free of any contaminants that could impair good adhesion Substrate temperature should be between 10-30C with relative air humidity of 70 per cent maximum.
Cold, high humidity and lack of air movement can cause a patchy finish, gloss reduction and delay in curing and damage to final properties. To prevent this, ensure good drying conditions and air ventilation prevail throughout the application and cure of the product.
New concrete must be clean and sound with surface laitance removed preferably by vacuum enclosed shot blasting or mechanical grinding, a minimum strength of 25N/ mm2 is required.
Open, porous substrates may benefit by applying one extra coat of the specified primer.
Existing concrete floors should have all dirt, oil, grease, old paints or any other surface contaminants removed by vacuum enclosed shot blasting, scarifying or mechanical grinding.
Fats, oils or greases must be removed by mechanical means and detergent washing and rinse with clean water to make sure all residue of detergents and/or chemicals are completely removed.
Local repairs should be carried out prior to main application by using the specified primer then Resuscreed PA and followed by specified system.
Open and porous substrates will require priming. Resuseal WB Clear is recommended and depending on the porosity and texture of the surface to be primed may require two coats. Resuseal WB Clear will not seal block work as it is a thin film primer.
Pre-mix the base component to a uniform consistency then add the entire contents of the hardener to the base.
Mix by using a slow speed handheld powered mixer and mixing paddle for approximately two to three minutes to achieve a consistent mixture.
Apply the whole mixed paint by using a spreading rake, roller and brush to achieve the maximum coverage within the specified pot lifetime frame. Do not add water to this product.
Slip resistance can be improved by lightly broadcasting anti-slip aggregates on the first coat (after primer) while still wet and back rolling, at a rate of 50/100 g/m2.
When cured, apply the second Resuseal WB coat to secure the aggregates. Do not apply Resuseal WB on top of polyurethane coatings, as it may not adhere properly.
Resuseal WB can act as a curing membrane to increase hardness of concrete by allowing full hydration of cement.
Resuseal WB can be applied to a new (green) concrete, seven days after being poured. In such cases, expect surface gloss reduction and delay in cure process due to substrate dampness.
Product: Resuseal WB

Recommended thickness range: 100-150 μm WFT per coat
Colour: Limited colour range, please consult Sherwin-Williams
System Thickness (Recommended): 100-150 microns WFT 40-60 microns DFT
*The suggested thickness range is calculated based on average volume solid as a general recommendation for the specified condition and for each application may vary.
Solids Content by Weight: 50%. It may vary for clear and different colours
Pack Sizes: 5kg & 10kg (colour)
Pack Make Up: 1 x Base 1 x Hardener
Shelf Life: 24 months (Base & Hardener)
Storage: Keep out of direct sunlight. Store in a dry place, between 15°C- 30°C. Product is not freeze-thaw stable.
Solids Content by Volume: 40%. It may vary for clear and different colours
Coverage Rate (Theoretical): 5kg will cover 40m2 @ 100 microns wet thickness.
* Coverage rate is calculated based on a sealed and smooth surface and may vary based on the
substrate roughness and other conditions.
Pot Life: Up to 60 minutes from mixing.
* Water-based epoxy may stay liquid for longer than specified pot life but it is recommended to use all mixed paint within the pot life time frame. Application after pot life may affect the cure properties such as gloss and adhesion.
