Resupen WB is a UV stable polyurethane finish for application onto concrete, plaster and wood or as a seal coat on Sherwin-Williams wall and flooring systems. Resupen WB is fast drying, abrasion resistant and offers excellent chemical resistance across a range of chemicals. Resupen WB can be used on both floors and walls to produce seamless hygienic surfaces.
New concrete must be clean, sound, dry, fully cured and surface laitance removed by vacuum enclosed shot blasting or mechanical grinding, a minimum strength of 25N/mm² is required.
Remove all dirt, oil, grease, old paint or any other surface contaminants by vacuum enclosed shot blasting, scarifying or mechanical grinding. Fats, oils or greases must be removed by mechanical means and detergent washing and making sure all residue of detergent is washed and removed by rinsing with clean water. Local repairs should be carried out using Resuscreed PA. If the old resin flooring cannot be removed then please consult with our technical team for advice on intercoat adhesion and suitability, as it may not be compatible with the existing floor coating.
Must be clean, sound and dry. Old varnish/topcoat must be removed/sanded prior to application as it may interfere with the inter-coat adhesion with Resupen WB
Please note: Care must be taken to ensure that surface preparation is thorough but does not disfigure the surface
Mixing: Mix the entire contents of the base with the hardener. If a separate mixing bucket is being used mix thoroughly ensuring all contents of both components are removed from the buckets supplied. Mix using a high-speed electric mixer (for colours) or a slow-speed electric mixer (for clear) for approximately three to four minutes until the two components are fully combined. NOTE: The coloured product must be thoroughly mixed in order to achieve a smooth, creamy mixture. Once the hardener is added it will appear lumpy in consistency and mixing must continue until the mixture is smooth.
The mixed unit should be applied immediately by roller, brush or squeegee with a consistent procedure. Floor areas should be cross rolled to ensure even application and to minimise roller marks. It is important to maintain a wet edge with this product to minimise the risk of roller marks in the cured finish.
The ambient temperatures of the areas should not be allowed to fall below 15°C throughout the application and the curing period, as this could have an adverse effect on the appearance and colour of the system. The surface temperature must be above 10°C. Where possible it is recommended that the application area is heated to a minimum temperature of 15°C ideally to allow the ambient and substrate temperature to stabilise prior to the installation.
Up to 5% water may be added in warmer conditions to maintain the wet edge of the product during application.
Full product data sheets and safety data sheets are available on request.
Please note: Applied coating should be protected from moisture during application and during the curing period. Exposure to moisture during this time can cause surface and colour variations.

Full Traffic: 48 hours
Full Chemical Cure 7 days
Pot Life: Up to 60 minutes from mixing,
based on 5 kg pack size
*Water-based coatings may stay liquid for longer than specified pot
life but it is recommended to use all mixed paint within the pot life
time frame. Application after pot life may affect the cure properties
such as gloss and adhesion.
Coverage Rate:
(Theoretical)
5 litres will cover 50 m² @ 100 µm
WFT
*Coverage rate is calculated based on a sealed and smooth surface and may vary based on the substrate roughness and other conditions.
System Thickness:
(Recommended)
100 – 150 µm WFT
40 – 60 µm DFT (colours)
31 – 47 µm DFT (clear)
*The suggested thickness range is calculated based on the average volume solids as a general recommendation. As a result it may vary slightly for each application.
Resupen WB may be applied direct to concrete or as a seal coat or topcoat to a resin floor system specified in our datasheets where a primer is not required. When applied direct to porous substrates the surface may require priming. Dry surfaces may be primed with Resuseal WB or Resuprime ST.
Where the Relative Humidity of the substrate exceeds 75%
Resuprime MVT should be specified and selected on the basis of hygrometer readings in accordance with BS 8203. The number of coats to be applied is chosen in accordance with the following table.
ERH% Required Coating Thickness
75-85 1coat of RESUPRIME MVT at 200 microns per coat
85-92 2coats of RESUPRIME MVT at 200 microns per coat
92-97 3coats of RESUPRIME MVT at 200 microns per coat
