Rustins Advanced Wood Protector is designed as a treatment to protect all types of bare wood from the adverse effects of weathering, rot, fungi and wood boring insects.
It is a water based, quick drying, non-flammable and low odour wood treatment.
Finely dispersed ingredients within this Advanced Wood Protector offer better wood penetration and greater effectiveness compared with standard wood preservation products. It makes surfaces more water repellent and reduces the rot and decay that can affect timber over time.
It is suitable for indoor and outdoor use on different types of timber, including pine, oak, mahogany, and more. It can be applied to wet or dry surfaces and should be over coated with a varnish or oil.
Ensure that timber surfaces are clean and free from previous coatings, grease and contaminants. Surfaces may be damp, but the preserver should not be applied to decayed wood which should be replaced. Coverage is approx. 3 – 4 sq. metres/litre per coat, depending on the absorbency of the surface.
Rustins Advanced Wood Protector is available in a choice of finishes - clear, medium brown, dark brown and green - in 5L containers.
Full product data sheets and safety data sheets are available on request.
