Coo-Var Profloor Two Pack Epoxy Floor Paint

Hardwearing water based floor & wall coating

Coo-Var Profloor is an exceptionally hardwearing water based two pack epoxy floor and wall coating. Dries to an off-gloss finish. Seven colours available plus other colours to order. Aggregate is mixed with paint or sandwiched between two coats for an antislip version. Coo-Var Profloor 2 pack epoxy should be diluted with 500ml of clean water per 5kg pack. Profloor is ideal for use in heavy traffic areas for foot traffic, trucks, vans and forklifts, inside and outside. Profloor can be used over stable existing paint coverings. Can be used on wood, concrete, masonry, asphalt and tarmac. Can be used on floors and walls. An anti slip option is available. Do not apply at temperatures below 10c.

• Drying time: Touch Dry 4 hours or 8-12 hours hard dry. Full Cure 5-7 days.
• Overcoat time: 16 hours min or 72 hours max
• Estimated Coverage: 6-10m² per kg

Surface Preparation

All surfaces should be clean, dry, sound and free from contaminants. Concrete - power floated, granolithic and smooth surfaces should be roughened first to provide a good "key" for the paint. This can be done mechanically by abrading or blasting, or chemically using Coo-Var Acid Etch. These processes will have the advantage in addition to preparing the surface of also removing dirt and laitance. New concrete must be allowed to cure thoroughly which can take up to 3 months. Other surfaces have to be prepared and primed with the suitable primer for that substrate. Existing painted surfaces - Surfaces should be cleaned, degreased and sanded to ensure an adequate "key" is produced. Remove all loose and flaking material and treat bare areas as new substrate and prepare accordingly.

Application Conditions

As dictated by normal good painting practice. Do not apply if the temperature is likely to drop below 10 °C during application or during the drying process. In confined spaces provide adequate ventilation during application and drying.

Preceding Coat

Apply direct to ordinary stable concrete. Coo-Var High Performance Primer should be used where the surface is smooth, polished or porous. On Metal use Teamac Epidox 2 Pack Zinc Phosphate Primer. Can be used on wood asphalt and tarmac.
